About the event
Explore the Manistee National Forest while being guided by the Narrow Road Adventures couple, Taylor & Jen, along with other like-minded adventurers. Gaze upon the sites of Michigan's diverse landscape, smell bacon sizzling in the morning, hear the crackle of a fire, savor the teste of Spam, feel the agony of a freezing cold jump in the river and realize you forgot your towel. It is bound to be a memorable weekend in the great outdoors. Hope you can join the experience!
TENTATIVE SCHEDULE
- FRIDAY: We will be meeting at a dispersed camping location Friday night (coordinates to be given). Top-off your gas tank before entering the forest. Being dispersed camping, there will be no bath facilities, bring a shovel & toiletries. We will be preparing our own food and enjoy a fire while getting to know our adventure crew.
- SATURDAY: We will pack up and drive the Michigan Adventure Route (MAR) all day while stopping at times for restroom breaks and self-made on-trail lunch. In the evening we will be making camp at another dispersed camping location (location to be determined by the distance we travel). Once at the camp location, the usual evening festivities will commence.
- SUNDAY: People are free to travel home when they wish. We plan to pack up and continue to run the route until around 1:00 at which we will then find a main road and head home.
Please only take a ticket if you KNOW you can make the event.
VEHICLE REQUIREMENTS
This will not be hard-core off-roading but for the safety and enjoyment of everyone, there are a few requirements:
Vehicles MUST be equipped with at least one recovery-rated recovery point on front or rear (tie-down and i-bolt tow points are not recovery rated) a hitch receiver is acceptable. All-terrain tires, 4-wheel drive, ground clearance & recovery strap also required.
If you have any questions about the event or your vehicle's preparedness for the event, feel free to reach out to Taylor of Narrow Road Adventures and he will do his best to answer your questions. Click here to ask questions.

**Being that this is an OVERLAND event, things don't always go as planned: dispersed camping spots could be occupied, roads could be closed, vehicles could breakdown/stuck, etc. Flexibility and teamwork should be assumed by everyone. Being that many portions of the route are "off-road" and some trails could be narrow, the understanding of potential scratches and/or damage should be assumed. Taylor, Narrow Road Adventures, nor anyone else in the group will be held liable for anything. By registering you are assuming the potential risks of the event and you are accepting all liability upon yourself.
